The Canberra Nature Map project is a unique partnership between nature lovers, nature experts and the ACT Government that aims to:

- Accurately map Canberras treasures, maintaining records for future generations.

- Improve public education and awareness of the diversity and significance of Canberras Nature Parks.

- Influence development environmental decisions and on the ground outcomes by providing critical distribution data to the ACT Government Conservation, Planning and Research unit and the CSIRO Atlas of Living Australia.
